What do I do if I want to schedule a parent conference with my child's teachers?
Teachers welcome the opportunity to meet with parents.  Simply call Diane Smith, the counseling center secretary, at 267-1960.  She will be happy to provide you with a schedule of when your child's team is free for a conference.

What are the best ways to communicate with teachers and/or counselors?
Many teachers and counselors check their e-mail frequently throughout the day.  A staff directory is located on the school website (www.pittsfordschools.org) that will provide you with the email address and phone number of every staff member.  In addition, a number of teachers also have websites detailing homework assignments, projects, and test dates.

How are students included in counseling groups?
Our goal is to work with all of our students in small groups, in order to facilitate relationships between the counselors and the students.  We also run targeted groups on a variety of topics, including stress management, social skills, grief, and divorce.
