Assistant Principal

Following a thorough search and interview process, Andrea Lynch, current assistant principal of Mendon High School, has been selected as the new assistant principal of Calkins Road Middle School, pending approval by the Board of Education on August 11, 2026.

"Ms. Lynch brings a wealth of institutional knowledge and a deep understanding of our school community to her new role. She is an experienced and thoughtful leader with comprehensive leadership skills, dedication to students, and a collaborative approach. All these traits make her an outstanding assistant principal and a valued colleague to our staff," said Superintendent Shana Cutaia.

In addition to her enjoyable and productive four years at Mendon High School, Lynch also served as Instructional Coach for the Churchville-Chili Central School District where she conducted professional development workshops, served as a substitute administrator in school buildings, wrote grants, and supported teachers with various initiatives, including integrating Problem Based Learning (PBL), technology, computer science and coding into classrooms, among other things. Prior to that position, she served as a special education teacher at South Orangetown CSD (2005-14), Ardsley Union Free High School (2004-05), Spencerport High School (2003-04), and Monroe 2 Orleans BOCES (2002-03).

Lynch earned a Master of Education in Special Education and a Bachelor of Science in Special Education from State University College at Geneseo. She also received a Post Master’s Certificate in Educational Leadership, Professional Certification in School District Leadership, and Provisional Certification in School Building Leadership from State University at Stony Brook.

She and her husband, Brian, live in Pittsford, and her two children attend Pittsford Schools.
