Attendance Procedures

In accordance with the PCSD Board of Education Attendance Policy, each and every day a student is absent, going to be tardy or picked-up early, it is necessary to contact CRMS Attendance by either emailing crms_attendance@pittsford.monroe.edu. or placing a telephone call to the automated attendance line: (585) 267-1909.

Students Signing In/Out During The School Day

When picking up or dropping off students during the regular school day, students must enter and leave through the Main Office. Parents/guardians must park in the front parking lot and come into the Main Office to sign-out your student in accordance with PCSD Attendance Policy. An email or call must have been made to the attendance email (click here) or voicemail prior to the release of your student.  Your student should meet you in the Main Office at your arranged time.  Please be prepared to show a picture ID upon entering the school.

When students return to the building they can sign themselves in. Parents/guardians do not need to sign their student(s) in when they return to the building.

Student Drop off/Pickup During Arrival and Dismissal Times

 Please do not drop-off or pick-up students in the bus loop and obey all traffic laws.

Requesting Work in Advance of an Extended Absence

If a student is going to be out of school for an extended period of time (family vacation/event, travel, etc.), it is very difficult to provide an impactful learning experience for the student. Natural things that occur in classrooms - questions, discussions - cannot be replicated. If a student in out for an extended time, teachers are not required to gather work to send home in advance. It is more meaningful for the student, upon their return, to meet with teachers to go over which work is essential and to answer any questions that may come up. Please note there may be some work that is appropriate to send in advance, such as independent reading, but this should be a discussion between the student and the teacher
